The Legislation and Policy Brief ("LPB") is the legislative-based legal publication of the Washington College of Law.
LPB publishes a book twice a year, conducts dynamic panel discussions, and hosts an online blog providing non-partisan legal analysis of current legislation and policy issues before federal and state legislatures. LPB articles cover a wide range of legislative areas and tend to be heavy on legislative history and analysis.
Current Issue: Volume 6, Issue 1 (2014)
I am happy to present the first issue of Volume 6 of the Legislation & Policy Brief. This issue examines problems surrounding negligent hiring, immunity for spaceflight operators, the Mandatory Victims Restitution Act, Informal Rulemaking in the FTC, and claims for errors on credit reports. The authors put forward interesting ideas on each of the issues they addressed, and I am pleased that these authors are contributing to the public discourse on these issues. All of us who worked at completing this issue hope our readers will examine these articles critically.
Further, we invite our readers to follow us online at our blog, which can be found at http://legislationandpolicy.com, and at our website, which can be found at http://digitalcommons.wcl.american.edu/lpb/.
I would like to thank the authors for their hard work and dedication. It has been a pleasure working with each of you. I would also like to thank the staff of the Legislation & Policy Brief for their effort and diligence.
