AUBLR invites submissions for Volume Ten
The American University Business Law Review is a leading business law review in the nation’s capital that publishes high-impact pieces combining innovative legal analysis and practical business applications. Recently, AUBLR has published articles written by practitioners and academics on business law, tax reform, sports and entertainment law, intellectual property, white-collar crime, and securities regulation. AUBLR seeks to publish innovative articles that make a significant contribution to the field of business law. Authors of color, LGBTQIA+ authors, disabled authors, authors from low-income backgrounds, and authors from communities that are traditionally underrepresented in business law are encouraged to submit articles for consideration.
Submission Requirements
Submissions considered for AUBLR publication must have at least one author with a J.D. or advanced law degree from a United States accredited law school and at least five years of legal experience.
Review Process
AUBLR publishes three issues per year. For each issue, our Publication Committee carefully reviews every submission on a rolling basis. AUBLR will consider expedited review requests on a case-by-case basis. To request expedited review, please reach out to our Senior Articles Editor directly at
Submission Services
AUBLR receives all submission through electronic services. Authors seeking publication may submit manuscripts through Scholastica, or directly submit to our Senior Articles Editor. Direct submissions must include a current CV and a copy of the finalized article in Word or PDF format.
Citation Format
AUBLR strongly encourages potential authors to utilize footnotes and adhere to the Twenty-First Edition of The Bluebook: Uniform System of Citation.
