Abstract
In a lively discussion, American University law professor Jeremi Duru and local poet and political activist Ethelbert Miller will talk about the exploitation of athletes, physical trauma, taking a knee during the national anthem, and the economics of sports in the context of race and of youth athletics. George Washington University law professor Ralph Steinhardt will moderate the discussion in this free event sponsored by the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library and the City of Takoma Park's We Are Takoma performance series.
