Abstract
This symposium issue is the product of the 2017 Next Steps in Health Reform Conference. American University Washington College of Law launched the Next Steps in Health Reform conference in 2012 with a reprise in 2015. In 2017, in partnership with the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics (ASLME) and with support from our co-sponsors, American University School of Public Affairs, American University Kogod Business School, and the University of Toronto Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, we expanded the event to a three-day conference bringing together speakers and attendees from multiple disciplines, from the academy and practice, and from across the U.S. and Canada.
