Abstract

The Georgetown Center for the Constitution is honored to co-host the inaugural conference on Fundamentals & Frontiers of Federalism with Texas A&M School of Law’s recently launched Center on the Structural Constitution.

Launched earlier this year, the Center on the Structural Constitution is advancing critical scholarship on the design and operation of our constitutional system. The Georgetown Center for the Constitution is proud to support Professor Katherine Mims Crocker, Faculty Director, and Professor Neil Siegel, Faculty Co-Director, as they develop a leading venue for deep engagement with constitutional thought.

The Texas A&M Center on the Structural Constitution is poised to become a leading hub for research and dialogue on structural constitutional law and its role in shaping public policy. Structural constitutional law examines how government institutions are organized and interact — from the separation of powers among the federal branches to the role of states and localities within our federal system. These questions have grown increasingly relevant amid political polarization and deep divisions over constitutional governance.

Through rigorous scholarship, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and meaningful dialogue, the Center tackles these pressing questions about how government structure affects real-world outcomes. The Georgetown Center for the Constitution is eager to partner in this effort.
